Trader Joes on 14th St. is the only Trader Joes in Manhattan and it is the love child of a circus and a zoo. But how can you resist frozen mango chunks and their own peanut butter and those pot stickers and that Indian sauce that makes you look like you put effort into your tofu meal? Back home we called it "Trader Gods" - we worshipped it so.
Here it is a slog, but once you embrace it there are people to meet and new products to sample and calories to burn standing before you put them back on with Cherry Chocolate Soy Cream.
