David and I met up with Alex, David's friend whom I met when all our lives were lived in Los Angeles. She is wonderful and speaks perfect, perfect English, oh, and her French is pal mal! Alex has had three kids since and I have had about three pair of glasses. Time passes. Now David and Alex are in Europe and I am in New York. It was a wonderful reunion at a lovely restaurant.
